Engl 481 Post 4

So today I think I want to blog about the paper. I was very happy with the paper in terms of guidelines and openness of topic. Due to the freedom of selecting my own topic I was able to make my paper very personal and relevant to my own interests. This paper felt less like an assignment and more like an independent discussion of my own feelings regarding our past readings. I am curious how the rest of you felt about the first paper.

    There have been times that I have received open ended assignments like this one and not enjoyed it at all, I had no idea what to write about. However, this time around I had an easy time coming up with a topic and had an easy time writing plenty about it. I have enjoyed most of what we have read so far for this course and I think that has alot to do with it. When I enjoy what it is we're reading, I'm engaged in the discussions and do have opinions on the subjects so a three page paper is not much at all to fill with ideas.
